Privacy
How we handle your information.
This statement covers personal information you give us when you use this site. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Who we are
"Yarranabbe" refers to the editorial publication at www.yarranabbe.com. We are not a licensed real estate agency and do not transact property on your behalf.
What we collect
- Form submissions
- Name (optional), email address, and any note you choose to include when you submit the off-market notice form.
- Server logs
- IP address, browser user-agent string, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. Kept for security and abuse prevention.
- Analytics
- Aggregated, anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. We cannot identify you personally from this.
Why we collect it
Form submissions are used to write back to you, quietly, when something on the Yarranabbe peninsula comes available that may be of interest. If we partner with a featured specialist on the site and you have given us written consent, we may introduce you to them. We will not introduce you without that consent.
Server logs and analytics are used to operate the site, prevent abuse, and understand which content readers find useful.
Who we share it with
Your form submission is read by one person. We do not sell, rent or publish your details. We do not add you to any broadcast list.
The only third parties involved in handling your data are our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure, Australia / global), our email provider (Amazon Web Services WorkMail, Ireland), and Google Analytics for aggregated traffic statistics.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for as long as you remain interested in being notified. You may ask us to delete your details at any time, by writing to richard@yarranabbe.com, and we will do so within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the APPs you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to richard@yarranabbe.com.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cross-border disclosure
The servers that store and process your information may be located outside Australia. By submitting the form you acknowledge that your information may be processed on infrastructure operated by Microsoft (Australia and global) and Amazon Web Services (Ireland).

We will note the date of any material change at the foot of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised statement.
